The existing atrium in the School of Music is revitalized through the addition of a bandshell canopy to provide visual focus to the performers, along with new canopies for the balconies creating vocal projection stages for singers. The Music Library wall provides an active interface with the multi-media activities of the Library being brought up to and into the wall: the library desk, the recent arrivals (books, CDs, DVDs), Baroque instrument collection, and research stations for digital listening.
